Definitely the best way to travel to Palermo from the airport. The Trinacria Express ( 091 704 40 07) runs between the airport and the train station (€5.80, 45 minutes to 1¼ hours). Trains depart from Palermo Centrale station every 30 to 60 minutes between 4.55am and 8.09pm, returning from the airport between 5.54am and 10.05pm. There is a taxi rank outside the arrivals hall and the set fare to/from central Palermo is €45, and all the major car-hire companies are represented at the airport.
