Riegel: Yes, it’s completely possible. I am not a traveler who lives without money, even though there are people who do that and can get by well without it. But I can get by on very, very little money. I have a small tent that I carry in my pack, and I can put it up on most public lands. I do not have a car or bicycle. I walk, but if I want to go somewhere further, I will take a day construction, landscaping or farm help job wherever I am to make enough money for a train or bus ticket, and then.
